CW for Digital Animation

CW1 (50% of the overall mark for the module)

Group project

Really simple, really fun and hopefully you will produce something extraordinary in the process.

Split into creative groups you have to create a 3 minute (minimum) Stop Motion animated film, that will be hosted on a service (You Tube etc.) that will put it into the public domain. All materials contained within this animation will be wholly original or have copyright permissions to be used in this medium.

Assessment criteria

  • Digital artefact  60%
  • Originality of the narrative 40%

CW2 (50% of the overall mark for the module)

Individual project

Simply create a digital animation (can be Stop Animation, Flash, etc. as long as it is in the digital form). Final animation must include opening/closing credits and be a minimum of 2.5 minutes long.

Assessment criteria

  • Digital artefact  60%
  • Originality of the narrative 40%
